          Video game company aims to raise $100,000 for charity

          Umrao Mayer co-owns a video game company that’s worked side by side with technology giant Sony to create part of the new PlayStation Move video game console that millions will play.

          But the Camarillo resident measures his own company’s success not solely by the bottom line but also by his service to the community.

          5. As co-founder of Zindagi Games in Camarillo, Mayer said he became successful in life after he started giving to others.

          “I feel really lucky to be able to help people,” Mayer said. “Sometimes people just need a hand, and a lot of people built bridges for me.

          It’s true you get what you give. It’s the best lesson I can teach.”

          True to his philosophy, until the end of this month, Mayer will match every dollar the community raises up to $50,000 to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Camarillo, FOOD Share and RAIN Transitional Living Center.
