          It all started when Shoaib Iqbal was 12 years-old. He would spend time at his father’s cloth shop in Lahore, Pakistan, more so because he was captivated by the patterns, colors, and design of the clothes and less because his father wanted him to learn the trade.

          From a young age, Shoaib Iqbal was attracted to creative expression, which the fabrics at his father’s shops symbolized.

          However, the young man couldn’t pursue a career in the arts. Shoaib’s family didn’t have much growing up and as a young student, so he knew that science was the only choice that would land him a secure job.

          “Art isn’t really considered a profession in Pakistan.
