          5. La prima volta in un quadretto di 68 cm. x 31 che si trova ora al Kunsthistorisches Museum di Vienna... L’opera è stata datata intorno al 1456- 59 perché tre lettere del Marchese Ludovico Gonzaga, datate nel marzo e maggio del 1459 e indirizzate a Padova, concedono al Mantegna di finire un’operetta che l’artista stava eseguendo per il podestà di Padova, Jacopo Antonio Marcello.[1]

          Il secondo San Sebastiano del Mantegna, ora al Museo del Louvre a Parigi, proviene dalla chiesa parrocchiale di Aigueperse...
